Education: Professor Charlie Starr was born on March 14, 1963 in Dallas, Texas. In 1981, he graduated Valedictorian from Heritage Christian Academy. Four years later he graduated from Dallas Christian College as Salutatorian with a B.A. in Religion. Charlie received his Teacher Certification in 1987 from the University of Texas at Arlington. In 1990, he received his M.A. in Humanities from the University of Dallas. In May 2002 he received his D.A. in English from Middle Tennessee University; Dr. Starr's dissertation is on C. S. Lewis's epistemological thinking. |
| Experience: Professor Starr taught high school for nine years and coached soccer for seven of those years. His part time and summer work included teaching college and doing video production. He is a professor of English and Humanities at Kentucky Christian University. Professional Interests: pop-culture, film and film production, arts and religion, American literature/American Myth, Melville, C. S. Lewis, and Genre Studies. |

| Personal: Professor Starr was married to his wife Becky in 1985. They have two children: Bryan and Alli. In his free time Professor Starr likes a good laugh, writing, reading, film, good Mexican food, and, occasionally, fishing. |
