Atomfilms 2008 Star Wars Fan Movie Challenge Finalist
Welcome to the official website for the Star Wars Universe Short Film, 'Sacrifices'. Two thousand years before the Batle of Yavin, the galaxy far far away was torn apart in a war between the Jedi and the Sith. On the distant planet of Dis, a Jedi master and his Apprentice face a greater problem...
Below you will find the film 'Sacrifices' as well as many 'Behind the Scenes' videos and photos detailing the creation of this fan film. Also, you'll see some of the laughs we had along the way in the 'Blooper Reel' and 'What's Eating Matt Vall?'
Several version of the film exist and we have them all! Why so many versions? After production, the director John Mann joined the United States Army and q uickly disappeared into Basic Training and eventually deployed to Afghanistan. He took 'Sacrifices' with him and completed a version of the film while producer Charlie Starr and his crew completed their Final Cut. Since both stood beside their version, the decision was made to keep both; naming Charlie's the 'Official' version and John's the 'Director's Cut.'
The 'Extended Edition' includes scenes that were cut as well as the original opening to the film.
The saga continues under the 'Children of Dis' link, where you will find summaries of the other episodes that will complete the story of betrayal and revenge on the planet of Dis.
